Alex slipped into the Piano Room after his classes were over. He loved playing the Piano. He never told anyone. He looked around in awe at the amount of Pianos in this room. He walked over to one and slid in on the bench and played a random song that had just popped into his head. He didn't really care if people heard. He was to good to be made fun of because as a kid he would play at his parent's parties. As the guests watched in awe his parents had to get servants to pry him away from the Grand Piano. But at the time it was most people would most likely be in their dorms messing around so he played faster.

Blake was walking past the Piano Room when he heard an amazing pianist 'tickling the ivories'. Blake had taken piano lessons from the orphanage, which is why she took the time to have a peek at the Piano Room. She saw a boy playing one of the many pianos that were in the room. He was good. This was her first time in the Piano Room, and she was amazed. Blake never really bragged about knowing how to play, so not many people knew that she did.
For a little while, Blake stood there, watching him play. She did not want to break his momentum, but she didn't want to be a 'creeper' and stand there watching him.

Alex hadn't noticed her come in. He slowed it down and started humming quietly. He stopped and pulled over a notbook from his bag. He pulled a pencil from out of a pocket and started jotting down lyrics of a song and also notes for a new song. He sat in the dark and set it up. He started playing again. He played faster then slower and changed from one to the other and stopped and played it slowly.

Blake knew that the boy still didn't know she was there. By then, she thought that it was rather odd to be watching him like that, as he was writing down tab for a piece he was clearly writing himself. She knew that it was hard to write songs, so, quickly, she had a debate in her head whether to disturb him or not. Deciding that the awkwardness of her watching him overpowered any other con to her argument. Clearing her throat, she stepped further into the room. She smiled at the boy to let him know that she thought he was really good. "Hey," she said to the boy, still smiling. "That was really good."

Alex turned at the sound of a new person entering the room. She looked familiar but in the dark it was hard to tell. "Thanks." he replied casually as she complimented him. "Were you watching me?" he asked holding in a bit of a laugh. It was kind of weird with the idea someone was watching he while he practiced. He didn't mind it, though because of the parties back in Ireland. "So who are you exactly mysterious person?" He asked curiouslly grinning.

Blake blushed slightly when the boy asked if she had been watching him. She nodded in response, and blushed even harder, but she kept her smile on. Why am I blushing!?! she thought to herself. "Sorry, I heard someone playing on my way in here...I couldn't help but listen - you can really play!" Blake reminded herself not to ramble, she did that when she was put in the spotlight. "My name's Dominique -" Blake stopped here, wondering why she was getting so tongue-tied. Why had she said Dominique? Quickly recovering, she scrambled the words "but everyone calls me Blake."

Alex couldn't see her blush because the lights were out. "Thanks for the compliment." He said smiling. "It's nice to make your aquatince Blake." He said nodding. "So do you take piano lessons or not?" He said standing up and picking up his bag. He pulled a hat out of it that was the size of a normal hat yet the material of a beanie with a small bill. He slipped it on his head and slung his bag over his shoulder and walked over to Blake waiting the answer. "Here I'll turn on the light." He said walking over and flipping on the lights.

Blake blinked rapidly as the light flicked on, her eyes adjusting to the light. She hoped to God that she still wasn't blushing, but her face still felt warm. "Yeah, I took piano and guitar lessons back home for a few years now." Blake looked around the room at all the pianos. "You too, I guess?" she asked, feeling stupider and stupider with every word. Of course he did! she thought to herself. She smiled to hide her embarrassment. "Wow, what a dumb question." She began fiddling with the strap of the book bag she was carrying. "Sorry for intruding like that, you know." She knew that she felt like a weirdo for watching, she could only imagine the horror he was in, her watching him like that... "But I didn't get your name," she said.

"That's cool I've wanted to always play guitar." He said smiling. He blinked once and his eyes adjusted a bit easier. "Ya since I was six. I played at my parents parties and as the guests clapped my parents glared." He said laughing. "Oh and remberer this bit, no question is a stupid question. Every question has a reason for it being asked." He said yawning. "But ya it's fine you came in, I'm use to people watching me play." He said shrugging and trying to answer all her questions. He almost forgot what she had last said. "Oh ya my name is Alex. Alex Fendetta." He said nodding.

Well, Blake was off the hook now. Alex, he said his name was, didn't mind that she had caught him in action. It made her feel better and feel like less of a stalker, watching him like that. He had wise words, too, like 'no question is a stupid question. Every question has a reason for it being asked'. She felt her blush slowly disappear as she starting walking around the room, allowing her fingers to brush the keys of the nearest piano. "Have you ever seen so many beautiful pianos in one room?" she breathed. "I never was that good at playing, but I still love it." She looked over at him, happy that he was still alright with her being in here. Usually, back home at the orphanage, whenever she disturbed someone they would either beat her up or steal her food at dinner. The kids there were so immature. She was beginning to like Preston High a lot more than she expected. "So you've always wanted to play guitar?" she asked, thinking back to how long it had been since she had actually played hers. It must have been over a week, and she was dying to find a guitar to play. "I love playing that, too. I guess I'm just the musical type." Blake was rather surprised that she had warmed up to him so quickly. Usually she was shy upon first meeting someone. She stopped moving and looked at him again, remembering him saying something about playing for his parents' friends, but not his parents. She decided to bring it up. "So you said you played for your parents' guests - tell me more!" Blake sat down at the nearest bench and hoped for a nice story or something for her to get lost in for a while.

"I haven't actually. So many grands just sitting in this room collecting dust. Until I came." He said laughing. "But I was always interested in guitars." He said shrugging. "Well if you really want to know about my past with the guests and all." He said shrugging again and sat on a piano. He set his bag down next to the chair and sat for a moment collecting his thoughts. "Well I grew up in Dublin and my house was in the rich part of the town so it was pretty hard growing up not being in the suit and tie stuff. But when I was five the Piano player for the parties my parents threw was retiring and he taught me to play Bach, Handel, Beethoven, etc." He said sighing collecting some old memories and thoughts in his head. "I remember that the piano was a grand and was a beautiful one carved of Oak. It was just so great that before I got lessons I'd sit there and play just random notes and that's when the old man decided to teach me. He gave me lessons and soon at my parent's parties, which my parents disliked me because I came out a male instead of a female, and I played Handel, but Mostly parts of the Messiah by Beethoven. And everyone would cheer and whistle once I was finish and so I continued to do that until I came here. But back on the guests cheering and my parents glaring it was because of my Gender I suppose." He said shrugging at the last part.

Blake sat and listened to Alex explain to her about his childhood. She wondered what life would having her guardian hate her for being the wrong gender! She had always been one of the 'favorites' at the orphanage, because she the youngest (by law, the owner couldn't take in any more children after Blake arrived). "That's horrible! They didn't like you because you are a boy?" Blake didn't know what to think about that. She admired the fact that he could just shake off the fact his parents didn't like him. He just accepted it. I guess he's glad to be away from them here at Preston... she thought to herself."And you were five when you started? I was 11, I think...I haven't been taking it for very long."
She turned to sit normally at the piano. Her fingers once again brushed the keys, but still did not play anything. Turning around to face him once again, but with her fingers still touching the keys, she said, "My teacher wasn't very experienced, but she tried to teach me anyway...I guess it's better to know very little than to know nothing, though."

Alex sighed at Blake's first statement. "Yes that's true. The wanted a gir to name Alexandria. And my mom thought 'Well this isn't a girl! This child needs that special surgery!'. At least my dad was on the defensive side though." He said laughing at the last part. "Mom was a freak." He said grinning at noone. "Hey well if I teach you, your teacher will be expirienced." He said smiling.

Blake was about to comment on Alex's comment on his mom being a freak. Something along the lines of 'your mom is a freak!', even though that was what he had just said, which is why she didn't. Instead she took to laughing at the fact that his mother wanted to get a 'special surgery' to turn him into a girl, which was an instantaneous reaction to something as funny as that. "She wanted to turn you into a chick?" she managed to choke out through her laughter. "Props to Daddy," she said, leaning over onto the piano to support her laughing body. The piano that she was sitting at was playing almost all the keys from her being sprawled out upon it. It was loud and ringing throughout the whole room, so she picked herself up off the piano.
"That was a good one, that was," she told him, trying to calm down. "You know, you're funny!" A sudden thought came across her. "Unless that was the truth...well, it was still funny!"

Topher came into the Piano room and saw a 'boat load' of pianos. He also saw Blake and Alex. "Hey guys whats up?" he asked as he sat down on a random piano. He had his own keyboard up in the dorm, but there was nothing like playing a nice grand piano. He began to play "Fur Eliese" no to loud so that they could still talk. He had the song memorized and could almost play it with his eyes closed...
