Monica's legs swayed and her chested heaved in an out. Her long breaths weren't very audible, but the steps that she was taking were loud enough. Her arms were stuck firmly to her side and just moved them with her legs, keeping her fists clenched. Her eyes were forward and a look of determination crossed over her face. She was on her fifth lap and she didn't intend to stop until she reached her twentieth. She wanted to push herself today. She wanted to loose a few calories, too. She decided that maybe, just maybe, she could be as skinny as... Reese Withersthingy. Yes, her weight-goal was now Reese Withersthingy. She closed her eyes just for a second as she raised her hands to head and grabbed a clump of her hair. She tied it back and pushed her bangs away from her eyes. She opened her eyes again and turned a bit on the track as she continued to run.
Her legs weren't tired as she rounded the sixth lap. She wasn't sprinting, but she wasn't jogging either. She was slowly running, but it was faster than a jog. She knew that she had to slow down once she reached her tenth lap or else she'd be tired out from all of the running. Good thing she wore a t-shirt and track short-shorts so she wouldn't get hot. Her tan legs and arms were getting even darker in the sun. She was happy that she wasn't going to be as pal e as a clown, now, like she usually is all summer long. Too bad she forgot her iPod.

Ginevra was in a distance sitting against a bench looking around, but not capturing the picture she was looking at. She was day-dreaming about random things that had happened in her life latley. She did this for over ten minutes but finally shock her head, letting her hair go in her face, as she looked up into the bright blue sky.
She sighed as she saw people running. They looked tired and she wondered, why not stop? She thought about this for awhile as she didn't go running often, she usually just sat on the middle of the track and looked up at the sky letting her thoughts over take her. She had too many emotions that constructed her thoughts for her own good.
As she looked from right to left, scanning the sweaty figures she saw Monica. She wasn't sure if she was looking in her direction but she waved anyways and added a smile just to be nice. Monica and her weren't exactly friends but they also didn't hate each other. There was just the fact that at times they could annoy each other, but that wans't to often that this happened. They did, at times, still hang out with one another.

Alex fell on the mat he was using for Pole Vault practice. He sighed using the neck of his jacket to wipe the sweat collecting on his forehead. He sighed looking for his bottle of water. He reached out and grabbed it and opened the lid to let it all fall over his face. He smiled feeling the cold water. He shook his head like a dog and water slaplatered everywhere. He grinned to himself and stood up yawning and stretching and picked up the pole and ran back to where he was going to run from and took off down the thin stretch. He planted the pole in the ground and did a few flips over the bar and landed on the mat bouncing. "That.....Was.....Awsome!" He said his chest pumping. He had been out here since six this mornning practicing for State. He was the best Pole Vaulter at Preston but only a few people actually new his was on the team. He looked and watched as Monica and a few other people finished a lap. He looked at the stands and spotted Ginerva. "Wonder what she's doing here...." He asked himself. "Hey Ginerva!" He yelled trying to get her attention and jogged over. He jogged over at the wrong time. A boy, a senior in fact, plowed into Alex. He rolled over to the side. He slapped the guy's leg's with the pole he was still holding for no reason and he tripped. He laughed running and dove onto the bleachers and ran up towards Ginerva. "Thank god Monica is on the other side. That might of been a friend of her's." He said laughing sitting down a good foot from Ginerva.

Ginevra was looking around at the runners and at first she didn't notice Alex was even calling or coming her way. She smiled when she saw him and waved. When she noticed he was coming over she wondered why the pole was in his hand but it was obviously for some sort of track event. As he tripped the senior she rolled her eyes, typical Alex, she thought to herself.
She raised an eyebrow when he seemed to sit down and keep his distance. "What's with the distance today? Do I stink?" she teased holding back a laugh that she knew would come up soon. As she waited for his reply she held back her laugh but also the facial expressions that would come with it. She tended to make weird faces when holding back a grin, laugh or frown. She also did it when she was thinking to hard, not noticing she was actually doing it.

As Monica neared the side Alex and Ginevra were on, she slowed down just a tad bit and waved to them. Her slow run was now a jog which she feared the most. She couldn't slow down. She sprinted forwards and closed her eyes, ignoring if they said anything or... well, if they did anything. She knew this track like the back of her hand, so it was fine if she had just closed her eyes and continued to run. Her pony tail bounced as she hightailed it down the track.

As Ginevra saw Monica come towards them she waved back and added a smile in there. She watched as she kept running even though she looked as it she could just collaspe on the ground, she still didn't get why she didn't stop. She shrugged and looked around and the others but then back at Monica, once again. She wondered how long she could actually run for or how long she was aiming for at least. It was more interesting as she watched for some random reason that she didn't get. She wondered, then, how long she would be able to push herself to run just that much further. [/center]

Megan was out on the track today. She wanted to get out there and stretch her legs she ran at her other School but she did not think that she wanted to be on a track team at this school. She got in the position to run and after a mini count down. she took off at a light jog. She was excited because this is what she had been wanting to do since she got to this school.

Ginevra next looked over to a girl who was just walking out into the track field streaching. Did this happen all day? People coming and going practicing for track in such hot weather? She sighed, she did want to go join them but she would make a fool out of herself and she knew that. Looking now, up at the sky she started to try and dispher shapes that could be something in her everyday life, like animals or objects to pass the time.
