The one most important thing in a young child's life. Music. It can shape the way a kid can grow, he personality, his point of view on life, the friends he decides to hang out with. Music shapes the lives of kids and teens. It's just the thing that everyone can enjoy and one of the few things that everyone enjoys and doesn't misshape the world. It might shape people of different races, skin colours, religions. Everyone has a type of music, they enjoy. That takes me to the next topic. Discrimination of people that don't like the same music as you. This topic is the one topic that, I doubt, even a group of scientist could figure out. We've all had hatred towards a person for liking a different person. But I'm going to veer off that small trail. And I'll give a small History lesson on music.
Music is found in every known culture, past and present, varying wildly between times and places. Scientists now believe that modern humans emerged from Africa 160,000 years ago. Around 50,000 years ago these humans began to disperse from Africa reaching all the habitable continents. Since all people of the world, including the most isolated tribal groups, have a form of music, scientists conclude that music must have been present in the ancestral population prior to the dispersal of humans around the world. Consequently music must have been in existence for at least 50,000 years and the first music must have been invented in Africa and then evolved to become a fundamental constituent of human life.
This is all I'm going to write on the history for now. If I find anymore info or anyone does, send me a link in the comments thread. But for this, if you were to call, an African-American, a music hater, then apparently you don't know much history on music. But if you could all take a look at that and read it and try to understand the concept of it then, again, leave it in the common thread.
